🥐Croissant

In the 1683 Battle of Vienna, the Austrian Army, while digging tunnels, doscovered bags of croissants left behind by the Ottoman forces. The crescent shape of the croissant reminded the austrians off the symbol on the Ottoman flag, and this inspired them to celebrate their victory by creating a pastry in the same shape, thus giving birth to the modern croissant as a sumbol of triumph over adversity.
